Just keep chunking them-we are coming into prime spinnerbait time-the fall. Try using shad colors-white/chartreuse and white and different blade combos-single colorado for muddy water, double willow for clear water, and tandem-a colorado blade in front of a willow blade-in stained water. throw them in and arund cover, and bouncing them off objects such as stumps and rocks can really pay off.

yep i use them alot like a single willow blade over a small colo blade. reb nailed the colors. 95% of the time i use a grub trailer i do not like the split tail eel trailer i have used them i don't like them. in muddy water twin indy blades work well. or as reb said a single large colo blade.i almost never use a trailer hook. to me 2 things must be learned when using a spinner bait, speed and depth.of course the faster you run it the less depth you get. there are times a slow roll will work or burning it over weed beds work.unless you are very good with one use them only with full cloud cover and or wind blowing-both is great-in clear water a slow speed lets the bass get to good of a look at it they won't hit it.

my lake is about35 acres and the water is muddy but clearing a little every day,i breifly
use boohay pond magic and got a 4lb.on it,but for some reason i got my poles mixed up with my younger brothers, its a baitcast just like mine except the rod is 5 feet!!!
i didnt even know they made them that small.i was going to switch it out but i decided
the he!! with it and just fish with it.and it nailed but i got a crappy hookset with that crappy rod he bought because the one that came with it broke

two words in cookie cutter spiner baits hawg caller or strike king both excellent blade baits . booya for some reason tend to twist instead of bounce off objects.like tree limbs they tend to twist straight in to the object, resulting in a hang up.

I like the ease of just pitching up close a spinner bait an letting it fall over timber much like you would fish a jig,,,the slow fall and flash of the blade through structure, unlike some mindless anglers that just cruz down the bank chuckin the blade

Jb, I know we fish a couple of the same lakes. Try slow rolling a dble willow with a translucient flashy skirt at Laurel this fall. Try to get the bait to fall below the light penetration zone. I like a 3/8 oz in that super clear water. I also have had good luck with a Stanley vibrashaft that has 1 gold and 1 silver blade, afirecraker skirt using a 4 inch ringworm for a trailor in bluegill color. Cast to the secondary points drop your rod tip to the water and begin realing very slowly. By holding your rod tip down amd slow rolling this way the lure will follow the slope of the bank down. This is just one retrieve that is deadly when the fish are in less than 10 feet of water. fish2win
