hey,bass pro shops has this line on sale for about $3 a spool,is this a good line? thanks!

If it's only $3, it would atleast be a cheap spool filler. Filling an entire spool with a couple hundred yards of $16 flouro can get expensive!

my motto is ..."you'll never know unless you try it at least once"....for the price your not loosing anything ...just make sure you have a back up rig with something you are comfortable with just in case....please give us an update if you do try it.....i would like to know how it is never the less.....

I would like to hear reports on the new Halo ...i forget who makes it, but I think it's Pline or someone I already use. I am going to have to try halo first, but I'm interested in future reports about this new TRex stuff too...

That Cobra X-Tex is good stuff. I found a few spools of it a couple years back and really like it for cranks and blades. Not good for topwater as it sinks, but it is tough as nails without the memory of something like XT or CXX P-Line. The abrasion resistance impressed me, but the pulling strength really got my attention. It is STRONG line. The color is varying shades of green with kind of a smooth,dull finish.
Dude, at <$3, why even ask. Buy some and try it out. |
