NEW PB!! Double digit fish!! With Pics!!
Hey guys! Just got back from a trip about 2 hours ago! Got my new PB too!
I tried to get on the water by 6:30, but didn't manage to get there until almost 8:00, as I over slept, top water bite was turning off as soon as we got there. However I did mange to get 2 fish on a spook Jr first thing. Around 9:00, 15 - 20, little kids were their for some fishing camp. As I was walking by I heard the supervisor talk about some "legend," of a bass in the lake that was over 10lbs. I rolled my eyes and said to my self, "I've been fishing this little pond for 3 years, and never caught anything near 10lbs, lots of 5 and 6 pounders, but non near 10." apparently it's name is "Buster" After a wile of fishing a senko and a crankbait with no luck, I put on a 6" watermelon zoom lizard, a 3/0 mustad worm hook (Straight shank), and a 3/16 oz green pumpkin bullet weight. After about a half hour with only small ones on the lizz, I get a hard "donk" on the end of my line. I set the hook and my drag slips a little bit! I leave it, and thank god I did! This 2' football of a bass lunges almost all the way out of the water, and me and my little brother start freaking out, thing starts peeling drag like no tomorrow! A few more jumps, and runs, it gets close, and my little lipper, grabs it for me and we both a super Ike! We run over to the kids to show them out catch! We holler to the kids "WE GOT BUSTER!!" One of the little kids asks me "What kinda fish is that?!" I say, I tell him it's a large mouth bass. He says, "No way, that WAY to big to a bass!." Cute kids! The supervisor comes over to check it out, with a scale in hand! We weight her and she comes out at 12lbs, 1oz. We snap some pics and let her back to keep the big bass jeans in there! The guy also offered me a volunteer job to help the kids out, he said if I do a good job, it may lead to a summer job! I left my number and he'll call me sometime soon. 2 - 3 pounders just won't seem as big now! Pics don't do it Justus to the the size of this thing! Keep in mind my a 6', 210lb kid!

Thanks guys, It think the reason I caught her is because of my luck John Deer hat!! Told the guys on the football team and showed them the pics, now they all wanna go fishing with me lol!!
Not exactly, but I set her by by my rod and from one point to point, it went roughly 26 inches, give or take. Not sure about the girth, how ever.

Nice haul fo sho Boss! Congrats on the PB and being a better person than me for letting her swim for another day. Just think, she would have been a teenager a couple of months ago. But none the less, way to go.
And thanks to Waffle for getting "The Never Ending Story" theme song stuck in my head.
