what would you use in the rain ? (lures)

heading to florida wednesday kissimmee (lake toho)weather channel forcast isnt that good looks like rain or showers mostly. buying my boys rain coats and were on our way .is there any special things you guys use or just fish what you usually fish?thanks

Man your going to be in Florida you don't need know rain coats for these Meesly little cold front rains.

You otta come down here in the summer when we have multiple huge thunder head showers while being offshore stuck on on the otherside of it and land.

As for lures I would say anything you would regularly use (bright colors though as it will probably be overcast).

i agree with hef,spinnerbaits all the way. i also like super flukes and weightless worms,and lipless cranks. one tip when its raining,keep moving until you find the fish,they are usaully very active when it rains and roma aobut more.

Spinnerbaits, white blades all the way, preferably double colorodo or indiana. They worked well for me last time I was down there and they really seem to be good when the water is a little darker (lots of wind, rain, color in the water).

Big blade spinnerbaits, worked just under the surface. Bright colors work better in the rain.

spinnerbaits all the way. i love to go out and fish a white one in rain. works best slow rolled for me though.

Someone told me that when it is a light rain that the topwater bite is usually good like with a buzzbait, is there any truth to that?

yeah,they work pretty good,its just that i dont usaully use topwater. they do work in the rain though.

Whatever the fishies want. Spinnerbaits can work, so can cranks, weightless plastics, topwaters etc... Many times the if the water is rising, then a weightless plastic thrown up on the bank and pulled into the edge of the water will get hammered. I've also been skunked before in the rain. It's usually is my favorite time to fish, but the fish don't always agree as to when they should bite.

i got 4 keepers today in pouring rain by fishing a dropshotted 6'' worm and just casting it out and letting it sit.

I bounce a jig off the bottom ,usually a tube or a grub and just little bounces. or wait for the rain to stop fish usually bite really good after a rainfall. because the insects fall in the water and they are waiting! trust me on this one.
