I t-rig tubes! They work best for me when it comes to beds, Zooms work fine! Next would be a zoom brush hog with a jig head... try different weights for different fall rates. Use a weedless jig head with eyes. Shake it and make it look like it's eating the eggs, that or the lizard.

If you c-rig them than you wont be able to cast accurately to the beds, nor can you pitch them or flip them!

Hope this helps!

On plastics, I go with bulky fly weighted. IKA, Brushhawg, Kreature. It takes some practice on being able to pitch just past it and let it fall in. I like the slow fall into the bed. I also think that the fish will place the whole thing in their mouths better than a heavy jig head

yeah throw texas or if you are really good at pitchin throw it weightless and it will have a different look and fall rate ..... but for it wieghtless it might be hard to pitch so you might want to use a heavy creature bait with a heavier hook ....

to fish a trick worm just use the swivel up front and fish it past and over the beds..... if you are fishin behind someone who is good at bed fishin you might not want to throw at beds put just fan cast to try to find the fish that are crusing

Texas rig the lizard, either with a weight or weightless. Drop it right in the bed, and barely move the rod, just enough to make the lizard's head move a bit. That makes it look like it's feeding on bass eggs, which, naturally, the fish HATE. So hang on to your rod...

Lizards rule when it comes to bed fishing. Texas rigged

And on a side note I like to practice Catch and Release during the spawn.

I don't mind bed fishing AS LONG the fish are returned to its bed immediately.

The only thing I've been bothered when I witnessed on many occasion that illegal immigrant folks in my area keeps every fish they pulled out of bed. Disgusting

I'm with zooker on this one, but I had to try it on this one day. As I came up to the dock with my boat I noticed a huge female being courted be two males right next to the ramp. I told my friend when he came in behind me, he had in fact spent the day sight fishing. He docked grabbed his rod and said take the males out and we can catch the female. He tried for about 5 or 10 minutes to catch one of the males, doing what most of you have said, casting and letting the bait drop into the nest, no weight. The male made a few so so tries but no luck, I grabbed my flippin pole and hooked up a crawdad plastic. He said here you try, mostly because I said I never sight fished, I thru past the nest with a 1/16 ounce wieght and inched it to the nest. My thought was a preditor for the eggs is going to try and be sly. The bass hit the first time, I missed, the second I caught it. I did sight fish a few more times with the same result, but have not done it sence.
