What Scents do you use?
What kind of scents do you guys use? Kickin Bass seems hard to beat. It's a little pricey.

I've got Kick'n Bass, YUM, Megastrike and Carolina Lunker Sauce on hand-I use the Kick'n Bass more than any.

always used to just depend on the zoom having salt and powerbaits, but this last year had a jug of lunker sause and i guess it does the job..20 years ago when i only fished worms we would buy some baitmate in crawdad flavor and use it, then i got away from it due to it messy up the finish on the boat.

It's not scent, but WD-40 did seem to help on worms. Also I used Hawg Sauce, man that stuff is strong but it also seemed to help produce when I was having trouble finding fish.

Kick n' bass is IMO the best scent I have used as far as commercial scents go. The stuff I make works really well also.

If you get into jig fishing. One brand of scent to look for is Smelly Jelly paste. It's strong scented and it allows the bait to slide throu the thickest mats from the paste formula(Like vasoline type paste ).I use Kick N Bass as well, but I prefer Bang in the areosol can, or Nitro Gravy scent over the Kick N Bass scent.P N J

I usually put a dab of KNB Anus (of) Shad (Takes a LOT of shad to make that!) behind each ear before hitting the water.
I hear that one of our number does the same ('cept he prefers the Craw scent) before hitting the bars and trolling for chicks. Well, if it works, it works! Right, Zookles? Now Reb, on the other hand, simply rolls his lures around on the boat carpet for a sec before each cast. Why? Well, with all those spilled Tiki Stix lying around there's lots of Tiki's "Molly'sPooPoo"...errrr..."Molopo" scent in the boat rug. One of these days he's gonna remember to zip up, after removing one from the bag, that is. But seriously, folks...Today we are all, each and every one of us, Texas Aggie fans. Our dear chum Reb is 'A Naggie" and his (our, for today) beloved boys from Collie Station are playing the hated Whorns of TeeYoo today at 11:00 CST. Tune in, watch the game, and root yer fundament off for the Aggies! I sure will. If nothing else, the band is great, but I believe the Ags can and will win this one. Besides, if they do, then my beloved Sooners (if they beat Okie Lite tomorrow) are the Large Dozen South Division Champeens! Hoping all had a wonderful and loving Thanksgiving with family and/or friends (or, in my case, my two >^..^<) and that you had much to be thankful for. Gig 'em, Aggies! (and a very Boomer Sooner to you all!) F.Rod |
