Well my small town auto parts store had the replacement light I needed. Toss another $10 into the boat hole - light replaced and road legal again.

Nater- good luck, but (as bama said) you almost gotta expect that with anything used, there's gonna be some fixes or "upgrades" required - but knock wood, I think things are leveling off (just hope the boat gorilla thinks so too).

I'll be back at it tonight! Think I'm getting closer, ran for a few seconds on and off last night then realized after I put everything away, the tank vent was closed

Hopefully that will do it. Oh, I have about three trailer lights to replace also.

Here we go - took her out again on another lake (Skaneateles) - motor ran great, just a little low in max rpm's but the thing just purred. But got back to discover that one of my brand new trailer tires was soft - made it home okay and filled it up and will check again tomorrow, but will likely need to pull it to be fixed.
One thing after another!

footnote: beautiful lake, but no fish in it !!!

First trip with my current boat i took the wife. Boat motor crapped out and had to get towed in. Cost me $3,000.00 to fix. Wife hasn't been on boat since.
Backing a boat is like anything else gets easier the more you do it. The thing that helps me the most is dropping the tailgate on the truck.
We've all had to deal with it learning to do it or waiting on someone who is just starting out. I have probably backed in 5 or 6 peoples truck because it was their first time and ramp was backed up. Just have to be patient. Plus you can always practice in your driveway. Before you know it you will be able to do it in your sleep.
