White Fish??????????

hey everyone to day i found a nice little pond and i was walking around and saw some fish there where about 21-30 inches but what stunned me is there WHITE

........ i SAID WHITE NO IDEA WHAT THERE ARE ANY IDEAS ON WHAT THERE ARE AND HOW TO CATCH THEM????? WATERS STAINED deep in some spots andalot of vegetation......TIPS FOR NIGHT FISHING THOUGH I CAN ONLY GET OUT AT NIGHT SO WHAT COLORS AND TYPE LURES... I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE ANY HELP ASAP THANKS

how much more specific there where WHITE as white as snow you could see them through the stained water its a small pond lots of veggies

Koi...overgrown "goldfish" variant, actually an exotic member of the Carp family. A Japanese developed critter. I caught a big'un on a flyrod while posted to Ft. Riley, KS. Often released into public and private waters.

Koi don't really hit artificials as far as I know anyways. Maybe once a blue moon.

there koi, see em' in the lakes i fish too, u know the fish people have in there ponds in there back yard, or in the pet store, that are like $30 each.

WTL - excuse my ignorance, Why kill the carp? are the bad for the bass pop.? There are huge carp in the lake and ponds I fish... Should I try to thin the population? It wouldn't be too hard, it would make for some good bowfishing! Thanks for any info...

its a koi that flyrod pictured, I have raised them and have two of them tattoo'd on me....note the small whisker towards the mouth, characteristic of a koi, a carp doesn't have a whisker that small and up close to the mouth.

these are koi...they can be orange and white in color..i have a few in the pond i fish..some of them are huge..one ive seen swims right up to me when im wading..its like 20 pounds..ill take pics next time...the pics arent close but they are koi..

Back to the original question-is the water muddy? I've caught them in water that looks like chocolate milk that are white, or rather very pale.
