Default Enviormental Bass Rigs for Tournaments!!!

I think it's time for a change in tournament rigs. Bass has gotten rid of the co angler rule. There are skyrocketing fuel cost. Engines with poor EFI ratings. Plus i think tournaments need to address Enviormental conditions. That would keep the treehuggers off our backs. At the same time look like we really care. Here is the megabass Japan tournament rig. This is what a rig looks like in Japenese tounaments. http://www.megabass.co.jp/product_de...id=153&item1=9

Nice. And I bet they are real inexpensive. But where would you place all the advertisement decals?

That would be nice until you run the Big O or Kiss. during a thunderstorm or a windy day. Let alone many of the larger fisheries all over the country. For a small lake or river I would probably like it. Also, like FNG stated- no room for sponsor decals.

No thanks!
Since they are Megabass, I bet they are over $50,000. Also I wouldn't worry about room for sponsors, I bet that without cos they will have 20' flags hanging off the back of the boats!

I've been on the middle of Kissimmee in a thunderstorm, and what Flfireman said is right. No thanks, not in that thing.

If you are gonna go small, you can go cheap. The spook is still under $600 total since I got it, and it has problems and all but $600 versus 50K$ with no real advantage in fishability? Why would someone spend money on a name for a boat like that?

I really was'nt thinking this boat. More like tournaments using boats like it. The megabass Japan rig justed reflected my idea & size.

Alrighty then.

I do think small boats are becoming more popular and will continue to do so. Tourneys should not have a 16' min limit IMO and yet allow people to fly 90 mph all over the lake. And small boats have many advantages over the larger ones, one of them being that they use much less gas as long as they are 4 stroke.

What the hell is this Stock Car Racing or tournament fishing. That's the difference between todays tournament fishermen. I wore the ugly blue vest with patches all over it. Worked then will work today. I hate change. You can tell Obama i said that.

You like change. The Dear Leader Obama is leading the glorious charge in favor of the proletarian middle class. The top #1, those cockroaches and vermin have sullied the minds of the people, however systematic re-education will cleanse our great land of the vile capitalistic class-oppressor.

granted smaller boats have their advantages lower fuel cost is a big one and it is becoming more pronounced with the fuel cost we are dealing with right now. however bigger boats offer obvious advantages as well, some are important while others aren't so much important as they are just a bonus. when i bought my boat i had this in mind:

ADVANTAGES:
1. i needed more storage and a larger deck space for rods (if i was to step on one rod and break it, chances are that rod cost more than i would pay to fill up my boat with fuel and oil).

2. a larger front deck makes fishing in team tournaments a lot easier because both guys can share the front deck and boat control becomes less of an issue.

3. a faster smoother ride (i am not going into the whole speed demon thing) means that you can make longer runs in tournaments to either get to some fish you may have found a long ways from take off or maybe just get away from the boats that stay close to the launch.

DISADVANTAGES:
1. higher fuel and oil cost (both for boat and tow vehicle)

2. higher cost of upkeep and or repairs

3. tougher to get in some tigher places

those are the things i considered and thought about before i decided to buy my boat. i know that bigger boats aren't for everyone and in fact there are times i would like to have a smaller boat but not near as often as i am glad i have a bigger one.

I have been working on a design to use an all electric boat for backwater fishing.

When the snakeheads are plentifull in a year or so I will branch out and call my new service ECO-Mongoose Charters..

you forgot the bigger the boat the harder it is to manuver.think city bus with a troller..

i have had bigger boats. but i can fish my style easier with a small boat. a plus is these lakes here don't get rough enough to need a big boat...

i have an 9 hour tourny today-checkin lake levels- where do to my choices and bass location. i will be running a bunch 27 miles or so.. still dout that i will burn 5 gallon of gas..

my personal opinion is my next boat likely wont be more than 17.5' long with a 90 or 115 on it..

Exclamation enviromental lol

There is a little red bottle called "Mystery oil" this stuff is great. I run it in my truck and boat it increases fuel millage merc runs cleaner, faster and much more effeciant. I had a merc shop tell me they were glad that the ethenol is in fuel because it is job seciurity do to the crap running head blowing outboards. This stuff basicly takes out the water content of the alcohole and replaces what is needed. They also told me to buy the cheapest gas as higher octaine now acomplishes nothing for outboards. along with cheaper oil like ones sold at wally world for $10 a gallon absolutly no diffrence still TCW#3 made by same companies as name brands.
AS for tree huggers and PETA all fools. EAT MEAT, hook fish, hunt and kill, milk cows walk your dog.. Watch your schools as PETA reps who are teachers will and do pass out info, show videos and so on and its legal for them to do so.
