Got off work a little early today and got al ittle work done. I have about 90% of the holes fills and sanded smooth. Have defiently decided that i am going to using bedliner for the top rails. Just ned to make the final decision to buy spry cans or roll on. The lids are going ot stay the same so i can just get this thing done and fish it. I also cut a piece of 3/4" marine ply for the floor. That sheet was much heavier than i thought. Not too heavy once i cut it to size so shouldnt add TOO much weight. I could care less how fast this boat goes anyway. Still need to cut a drain hole in the floor and find a cover for it. I think i am just goign to use a stailess shower drain. Heres a few pics. This weekend will be final prep for bedliner and then carpet. Cant wait.

i have not decided wether or not i want to even tackle the outside of the boat. If i do it will be way down the road. Its taking enough work just trying to prep for the new carpet. I picked up some bedliner today for the top cap. Hopefully i can get that on next weekend. I am not quite sure just how clean the old surface must be to recarpet, so i may or may not being going overboard on the sanding and scraping. I have a bad habit of getting projects like this and keeping them for 6 months and then sellling so i would like to get some use out of her.

I was think of carpeting down the sides toward the floor. then carpeting the plywood while its out of the boat and setting in in after. Whats your thoughts? It seems it would looking cleaner than trying to push capter down in the crack where the wood meets the firberglass. I still have a couple of weeks before i am at that point so i have some time to decide. Things are finally getting to the point where it will be takng shape quickly. I will post pics of the top cap when i finsh next weekend.

Keep the ideas and opinions coming.

Sarted doing the carpet today. Got all of the lids finished. I will do the rest of the boat tomm. I also bedlined the top cap and piece of marine plywood for the floor. The pics just show after one coat. This stuff takes forever to dry. Allin all I think its coming along good. Tomm afternoon it should look like a whole different boat. I still need to determine what the heck i am going to do with the console. Anyway, here are the pics.

i had planned on putting it for sale as soon as i finshed anyway...although i planned to fish it while it was for sale. I wont settle for less than perfection with me skills and i have faced the fact that i can not carpet this boat. So instead of letting it piss me off i plan to sell it. I will then use that money to buy parts for my jeep. I bought the setup for 500 and i have 500 into it. If i get my money back then fine. If i loose some then at least i gained a little knowledge about outboard motors.

So how much ya think i could get? Anyone want a cheap "fixxer-upper" ?hahaha
