I guess I found out the hard way that they are not rated to go so fast. Actually I got lucky and found this when I stopped since I check my tires and bearings every time I get out of the truck. The tread actually separated from the tire. I think that the wheel was not on straight after I put it on last time and it may have been sitting on that stupid plastic ring that covers the bearings. The ring is now gone and a new tire is on.

I ordered another tire/wheel and will install both brand new ones on the trailer and use the better of the two current as the spare
btw, I did get the other tire/wheel and installed both new ones on the trailer - once I got the others off, I saw both tires had some advanced dry rot. Glad I didn't push my luck with these ticking time bombs.

Agree with this altho I've been known to pull em faster than that. I learned the hard way about quality tires and keeping your bearing greased and lubed.

Job security, I guess.
