Lake Anna
Fished on Saturday with all of the boat traffic. Still managed to catch one nice keeper bass on 9" green pumpkin worm (texas rigged) in all of the boat traffic on the main lake. Water temps ranged from 79 to 84 degrees in the mid to upper lake area. The water was warmer in the shallow flats. I haven't been on the lake in a couple weeks and wanted to see where the bass were. The fish I found was in 9-11' out off a main lake dock. Good luck if you get out on the lake! Let me know how you do.

Anna
Tom - yes I do fish Anna a lot. Send me an email at smitty@smittystubes.com and I'll give you some websites to look at. You should come to the weigh in at 9:30PM on Friday night at High Point Marina (208 bridge). Should be 60+ boats. Deep crankbaits, carolina rigged lizards, and Senko baits will put you on fish. Fish docks or channel edges. Sat. and Sun. get out early or fish late in the evening to avoid the pleasure boats. Plenty of natural cover (stumps and rocks) but very little grass.
From Frederick, MD it will take 2.5+ hours to get to Anna. Rt 15 to 29 to 522 will get you to the lake. |

I remember years back when Anna was a nice place to fish, even on weekends. Now you gotta be trippin' to go on the weekends during the summer.
