Default M1: The Team Tournament Rules and Discussion Thread

The teams are as follows:

#1-Fishinfortune and Texasbasser
#2-Christopherkeene9 and Bubbabassbigfoot
#3-Crankybait and Leon
#4-Skeeter944 and Tenmilefisher
#5-Ironman and Mack

First and foremost, I, WTL am the law and the final arbiter of all decisions in regards to this tournament.

The rules are the most important part of this tourney, and I will only allow fish to be counted that follow the rules. If it were any other way we would invite dissention and controversy just as was seen in the last aborted team tourney.

The rules are as follows:

10 fish limit per team, all black bass accepted. Catch and release is optional, but all anglers must comply with all state regulations. Live bait is also legal.

Must have pictures of all fish caught, including length and girth measurements. The measurements for length and girth are derived just as they are in the Big Bass tournaments, so for a clear explanation see that thread.

Some form of “Unique ID” must be present in the pictures. This may include any form of ID, Passport, School ID, or the poster's name and date written on a sheet of paper. Be sure if you use an ID all important info such as numbers, ect be blurred out. This can easily be done via Microsoft Paint, which comes standard on all Windows computers.

I will post weights regularly. Culling is allowed via the magic of the internet, so should some want to withdraw smaller fish from their limit to replace with larger fish, pending my approval this will be allowed.

If there are any questions feel free to ask them in this thread or PM me.

Because of these stringent requirements, I have decided not to include any pictures posted to this point. I wish it could be another way, but to be fair it must be done this way. The reason being, not many will meet these new and strict requirements - but some will, and I don’t want the rules to favor any one team because of a lack of clear directions. You simply cannot make up rules for a contest as you go along. Hence there will be a start date announced as soon as we can procure a partner for Ironman. The tourney will last for 31 days following the start date, but submissions may be made up until two days after the tourney ends. I reserve the right to disqualify any fish that does not meet the specifications laid out here.

Since this tourney is dominated by younger anglers, I ask that Kevin place this thread in the appropriate forum - which I believe to be the New to Fishing board – but in regards to that it is his call. I also ask that Kevin sticky this thread to the top of the board and lock the other threads pertaining to the aborted tourney so that there is no confusion. And importantly, I thank Kevin for his patience as I know his boards are getting cluttered. There will be two threads in regards to this tourney. This thread is the discussion thread. The other thread, which I shall only post when the tourney begins, is the weigh in thread. Please limit unnecessary discussion in this thread however to make it more readable, and only post pictures in the weigh in thread.

Again, I will only count entries that follow all the rules. Anglers who participate in this tourney by virtue of their actions recognize and consent to all the terms laid out in this post.
