Spinnerbait trailers
A couple trailer questions . When selecting your trailer what kind of lenght and color do you choose , and do you go for something that really sticks out ? This is a personl preference question ? Do you say go with a darker
trailer on a white spinner or something closer to a color match , and what lenght trailer do you normally use ?

dont get to bright.Day time I use the Zoom split tail. Night time the uncle Josh No 11 . I have used different grubs types for a trailer but the zoom seems to work best. The only combination I blank with is a white skirt and chart trailer. Seems to work for others but not me. Chart skirts with white trailers work great. I also use the Rainbow Crystal in clear water. I hardly ever use trailers on my psinnerbaits. But when I do, I try to match the color.

I like to use the zoom split tail normally. But I have no problem trying anything new to catch fish, grubs, pieces of worms, chunks, whatever. In the end though, and this is just my .02, I have never seen bass only hit a blade with a particular trailer on it and not another. I think they help change things up but finding fish, and fish that are active, is of more importance to me.

4" spike it grub cystal clear or a 4" grub made by gotcha pearl or chartuses the gotchas are designed for salt water and will take a beating. the spike it are not as tough but really shine in clear water..

i hardly ever use a trailer on my spinnerbaits, when i do it's usually at night and i like a no. 11 porkfrog like fish2win mentioned. i will sometimes use a trailer in really muddy water and there are a lot of choices that are good but i will use a 4" grub or sometimes bite a 7" plastic worm down to the length i want and use it. i too try to match the color but i personally think that means more to us than it does the fish, i mean nothing in nature is all one color but jigs and spinnerbaits sure look pretty with matching color trailers lol.

I almost always use a trailer. Ditto on the Zoom split tail trailer in a color to match the bait.

see Mariner above. I use them constantly, I prefer white w/ char. tips. Also use swirl tail grubs in silver or clear w/ silver fleck.
