Default PSA on boat jumping

Since I consider myself an expert (has been drip under presure) I wish convey the proper technique for boat jumping.

Step 1: Identify what you plan to jump.
Step 2: Ask yourself is it really worth it?
Step 3: If it is a tree use the four step method.
Step 3a: Place nose of boat securely on tree.
Step 3b: Secure all persons and tackle.
Step 3c: Even out the passengers.
Step 3d: Gun it .....
Step 4: If you plan to jump a berm of grass follow steps 3b - 3c first.
Step 5: Get a good running start....

Oh and have fun out there..

Capt. Mike,

I normally leave myself just enough time to trim the motor out before hitting the tree, it seemed to have worked better last time. Love that aftermarket skid plate on the transom of my stratos and as far as grass berms, I just back up to them with my 8 blade tiller prop (also aftermarket) and chew right through them, be sure to connect a water hose from the front of the boat to the motor so it don't run dry.

Good Luck

Zooker I try to act all professional like this is normal.. Otherwise the clients act like rats desserting a ship.

Ohhhhhh remember last year at the Pointe?

Scared the crap out of Charlie when I came roaring over that grass berm.

I'm not sure if I am willing to try that stunt again.

I'll just go around. Fiberglass doesn't like logs 'n rocks 'n such.
