Default IMHO Chatterbaits ROCK !!!

OK , I know everyone has there oppinions.. I love the Chatterbaits. There my new goto bait. I put it on my line this morning , and nailed 2 , 3+ pounders , and 2 over a pound , in 2 hours. I have been using everything I have for the last month with slow results. I did however miss at least 4 fish on the hookset , I seen it , the bait flew out of its mouth..

You can try fishing your Chatterbaits with a trailer hook and see if that improves your catch-to-strike ratio.

Check the hook-on the ones I have right out of the package the hooks were about as sharp as a Q-tip.

I look at them as a grass type bait, and throw them primarily then. Of course, throwing a pretty bait doesn't hurt

How do yuo know how well your 2$ lures stack up against chatterbaits, when you've never even bought one?
My dad loves those things, especially on dams. Chartuese/white, in clear water, and a black/red, or black/blue in muddy water. You fish thjem by lifting your rod tips.

Not exactly true. A c-bait is a c-bait, doesn't matter how you cut/bend/shape the blade, or even how pretty it is

A crankbait or a jerkbait, or baits along that line differ in how they perform in the water, due to shape, weighting system, etc. Your paying for research into how fishes swim, and a quality finish versus a bait with a shrink-wrap finish for $3.

White , and added a zoom baby bass fluke , and the brown with orange trailer , but I put on a brown sizmic crawdad trialer , havent used the two new ones yet...

ehh really need better hooks imo they are dull as watching paint dry out of the box.. i have had very limited sucess with them..don't belive the hype..they MAY be ok in muddy water. but i am not wasting my time looking for one..

I just bought one last night, I got the red/black one because that was all they had. I hope it work's because the water is so muddy that might not be so great of a color.

The Way I Like To Use Them And Have Had Great Success Is Over Grass Around And Through Lillypads And Around Any Type Of Cover. The Biggest Fish I Caught With One I Pulled It Up Over A Half Suken Guard Rail. They Are Defiantly Not Open Water Baits Gotta Be Close To Some Kind Of Cover Maily Grass.

they will work fine in muddy water, ala a spinnerbait. the chatterbait produces a TON of vibration, you will feel it in your rod, big time. Trust me, the bass can find it.
