Thumbs up Thank You........

Rebbasser and Flyrod,

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After being out of the bass fishing realm for 10 years or so, I have to extend a sincere thanks to Rebbasser and Flyrod for taking the time and effort to help me get back into the sport!

We met for dinner last night and the "OU gentleman" and the "Great Tie guy" (Rod will understand the "tie" reference"), re-ingnited a passion for bass fishing that was missing for quite some time.

I can honestly say that these two gentlemen have been nothing less than completely selfless and compassionate in helping "reteach" a fisherman the lay of the land here in Texas!!!!!!

Best wishes John and Rod...I have talked your ears off and have taken notes on EVERYTHING! I can't wait for our fishing adventures this Saturday and Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Regards,

Mike

Zooker, Flyrod already introduced him.

(Guttboy, I'll explain later) and you are quite welcome-Flyrod and I both really enjoy sharing the obsession we both have. I just hope the thunderboomers hold off tomorrow-it has poured more on than off today since this morning, and as I was gassing up the car this afternoon lightning hit about 100 yards away. Not exactly a good time to be pumping gas.

Well its early here...got up an hour ago and I am ready to go!

Flyrod called me a few minutes ago and is picking up the artery cloggers for breakfast! Rebbasser is making coffee....sludge from what I can gather in some other posts! I am pressing out and making the journey up to the lake through the storms. We all think they will die down by fishing time!

Wish us luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The trip is on hold for now. We still have some lightning in the area so we will reattack here in a couple hours...

Exclamation

TO: All interested parties.
FROM: Rod, Fly

The planned assault on Boerne (ber-nee) City Lake has been cancelled due to weather concerns, this being the fourteenth day of rain so far this month.
As well, lightning sensors in Bergheim indicated frequent strikes ongoing in the target area. (7' of Graphite + lightning = Krispy Kritters.)
While Reb must attend to familial matters on the morrow, Guttboy and the undersigned will attempt an invasion of the aforementioned body of water @ 0500. Breakfast tacos (see: eggs and chorizo cooked in Pennzoil.) will be featured for morning chow.
That is all.

I think he is referring to the Queen of Boerne City Lake which is often confused with the legendary Boerne City Lake Gator, which is rumored to be there but few have reported to have seen.

Welllll, ekshully, I was referring to a great song from Gilbert and Sullivan's "HMS Pinafore"... see link, it's got a or two in it.
