wiring problem, need advice and help
ok....the front light (green/red) was not working, so...after taking it out and looking at it i noticed that the wires were too short. so i got some more wire to make it longer so it wouldn't come unplugged. well i goofed up. i cut all the wires at the same time causing a spark. after putting the longer wires on and hooking it back up i remembered that the spark might have caused the fuse to blow. but none were blown. and it still don't work. what's the deal? none of the dash lights or rear light work now. and NO blown fuses. help me out gang. thank ya'll ahead of time.

Man, the thought of you doing electric work is just scary. Be sure to tell your wife to keep an eye out for smoke coming from the console while you're at work.

John sounds like you found your problem. i finally found the short in our trolling motor tonight. It was inside the shaft going to the motor. not fun to take apart without any diagrams to go by. I was almost ready to take it to BPS to have it fixed. BB,s been bugin me to get it fixed. The muskies should be starting to bite. Good luck kingfish

bama... You may save some elbow grease waxing. Fellow at the bait shop told me this one.....if you wash the boat, rinse and dry....then give a couple coats of Lemon Pledge both to the boat and motor. He says the Pledge, after two or three coats, will not allow the scum to attach to your boat. It's easy to apply and after drying, easy to wipe off. This will also clean any spots missed in the washing.
