Sequel to the Sequel, Canyon, 4/20/07

Ahhh, another day on The Jewel of...etc, etc.
Friend George and I launched circa 1115 hrs. Fished Comal, Turkey Creek, finished at dark.
Had 23 basses asses caught and released. I had 33.33 % keepers. Caught phish on Strike King RedEye lipless, 4" Senko/wacky, 4" Ringworm, and spinnerbait. Wind a bit cranky but not prohibitive if you stayed on Turkey and Comal. Would NOT have wanted to fish main lake bluffs! Spillway area likely fishable but chose not to make long run to check it.
Geo. caught all his on ZOOM Finesse worms. No keepers.
Did some recon work in Comal, finding a fish or three in some previously unfishable waters (low lake level before the Monsoon). Soon, these spots will be either high and dry or too shallow.
Left some usually productive waters unfished...saved for later.
Still no fish showing signs of spawn wear and tear and becoming a bit fearful, as is Geo., that the wild water period may have seriously hurt the spawn for the year.
That will be all.
Positive note: Three days ago I posted an idea on one of the Sooner forums. I suggested that the Sooners wear some sort of remembrance of the VaTech tragedy on either their helmets or jerseys during the '07 football season.
I left a message with Coach Stoops sec'y re the idea. She left a message for me and when I returned that call she informed me that the idea was attractive and that the University Prez and the Ath. Dir. would have the final say. Hope something good comes of it, and that the other OU sports teams will do likewise.
Of course, some here will have a better idea.
