I have started using EWG here lately. But I think I like the J-hooks better. Just the cheap Laser hooks from Wal-Mart.

My first choice is always Gamakatsu offset "J" bend worm hooks. I rarely use widegap hooks unless I am thowing weightless Salty Sinking Stick baits (Senko style).

I use an off set hook, no real reason behind it other than its what I've been fishing with since I was young. Father seems to like it a good bit and it works for him.
