Dude here's a recent thread about that, you gotta' look around sometimes, my angling brother.

But there was a guy who came up with solunar tables long ago. Some swear by them. Some have different opinions on when the phase is better for big fish or numbers (Doug Hannon - Bass Proffesor). Different fishing mags have different times.

Theories I've heard is it is genetic from when all fish were oceanic and had to do with tides.

I don't pay attention to them.
