Muddy Water

What would you guys use in extremely muddy water? Slightly muddy water? The lake I am talking about is usually pretty clear. When the wind blows, it can get muddy. I want to stay away from jigs/worms because there are also peacock bass in the lake.
I live in South Florida so the water is almost always warm. The baitfish in the lake include Tilapia, Mayan Chichlads, Bluegill, very small Shiners/Shad, small largemouth bass and small peacock bass. f you have any other questions about the lake, please ask.

My lake recently went to very muddy from very very clear. What I have been catching them on is worms dipped heavily in some kind os scent.. why dont you want to use jigs/worms for peacocks? Best I luck for bass I have in muddy water is worms and white jigs.

Muddy water? Think noise. My two baits of choice are spinnerbaits with a big, single Colorado blades and a lipless crankbait. The spinnerbait with a single blade puts out a lot more vibration than a tandem or double willow setup and a lipless crankbait makes a lot of noise. that way a bass can hone in on it with it's lateral line.

A hair jig might work, but the only times peacock will strike a worm is when they are spawning.

What color spinnerbait?

A white spinner bait woud work really good. Also you could try throwing a bait like a rattlin rapala because of the amount of nosie the baits make.

I'm with reb. Lipless cranks and colorado blade spinners are the best for muddy water.

I would try spinnerbaits and maybe a blade bait like the zip lure.
