Default lake beaver tournament

Hello everyone! I am on OU's college bass team and we are attending the University of Arkansas' tournament Feb.7 in northwest Arkansas on Beaver Lake. We have been the past two years and done well as a team. However, last year they held it in February... early and it was snowing and we didnt have a lot of luck. What fish we caught were barely keepers. We still finished third in the tournament, but I was just looking for some ideas for crystal clear cold water conditions! If anyone has any advice I would be very thankful. PS I will post pictures as soon as I figure it out.

my guess would be jig and maybe a wiggle wart if he is wanting to powerfish. jigging spoon/drop shot if he is after the deep bite.

and i would figure a shakey head would be a wild card.

but i am just basing this on table rock which is on the same chain of lakes and fishes quite a bit like beaver.

really clear water tells me to use something REAL DEEP. shad color? or at least something in a chartruse/green yellow.

I have heard that a chartruse shad jerk bait on slightly windy days is really working. I appreciate all of the info. P.S. does it not notify you by email when you get a reply to your thread on here?

I won't be any help with the fishing, but I can help with the email. Click "User CP" at the top left of the page, then on the left you should see "Edit Options." Click that, then about 1/4 of the way down the page, there is a drop-down box that will allow you to select email notification.
