Thumbs up Learned to skip with a bait caster today!!

Today at the lake was a slow day, so I thought I might as well learn how to skip with a bait caster. Honestly, I did not think it was a hard as I thought it was;

I had to tighten the tension knob all the way though. I did a kind of 2 handed roll cast. At was first only skipping it 2 or three times, but after 5 minutes or so, I was skipping at 10' - 15'. The trick is is to keep your thumb having a little bit of pressure on the spool!

btw, I was using a jig, and only caught a dink!

Way to go boss. ^5 It's a great technique and I'm sure you'll be using it a lot now.

Ya, I was kinda stating the obvious eh haha!

I know it my be hard to do, But I would try braid when skipping, my dad tried it on his bait caster (it has copolly on it) and got a back lash, I tried and it was much hard.

If you have a reel with braid on it, I'd try.
