Default One probleme solved... another one found!

Well, about maybe a little less than a year ago, I tore down one of my older reels trying to "make it better." But of course I broke it! So last night, I checked it out again. Turns out them springs in there where gone, and the plastic thing that held the spool gear down kept on popping up because of this! So what I did was glue it down (probably not the best idea, but hey, what did I have to loose, it was broke all ready!). Now I can turn the handle and the spool turns (it did not before!). So I was just about to put some line, when I found out the drag didn't work!

So before I glue anything else down ( ), I wanna check with you guys, wondering if you know what the problem is.

btw, it's an older (gray) Quantum bill dance casting reel.

Thanks!
