First Tournament

I just had my first tournament on sunday and it sucked. Caught many pickerel and perch but no sign off bass only this little 5inch one hahahaha, it was an awsome time though. I learned that THROW TUBES ON DROPOFFS AROUND THE SHORE. THEY WORK. This little kid that was in the same boat as me caught two by casting his tube right on the banks by the shore. He got 2nd on his age group and on my age group nobody won becasuse none caught anything, well they did but they were no keepers.

Ike, don't worry about it. We have a club and on a couple occasions, no one was able to weigh in. Granted, weather conditions,water conditions etc... had alot of influence on these factors.

i just finished my first tournament except i didnt do quite as bad as you i caught 5 smallmouth bass all were bigger then 2 lbs none were bigger the 4 and i still placed last but i had a great time

Ike it happens to the best of us. I have blanked before to. No matter what you do what you throw, it just doenst work. Youll get them next time...Keep your head up!

DITTO!! Dont care who ya are or how good you claim to be the ole skinking comes along and aint nuttin you can do. Van dam, R Martin you name it they all get skunked. Take this time and learn what you SHOULDA done and make it a learning lesson.

It seems like you never figure out what happened (or didn't happen) untill the night after your tournament. Maybe I should have tryed this or that.

don't feel a lone buddy i have been there trust me.last year i weighed 1 miserable fish in -ok so it was 4.2 pounds- this year i have weighed in 4. 2 at the 6 man federation tourny. and 2 yesterday the biggest one so far this year i weighed in was 3.5 pounds. but for some reason i can flat out catch fish during practice just not during the tourny.. at bugs island i caught 7 bass 4 keepers during practice and still weighed NOTHING in during the tourny which was the very next day..
