Cleaning vinyl

What is a good product to clean up the vinyl on older boats where the vinyl is starting to get ripped up. I'm planning on possibly redoing them this season if I have time but for the time being cleaning them up would be nice and not sure what a good vinyl cleaner would be.

We used a boat vinyl cleaner on our old boat. I think that you can get it at any boat marina or a BPS/Cabela's/Gander Mt. type store.

Remember that the vinyl in your boat is no different than the vinyl in your car.

I'm a fan of 303 Aerospace products and they make a Vinyl/Fabric cleaner that works well but is a bit top shelf on the pocketbook.
Almost any All Purpose Cleaner (APC) works well on vinyl. I like Simple Green, but there are many.
For stubborn spots consider Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser ... it truly can be magic for some things.

When the cleaning is done, seriously consider 303 Aerospace Protectant - This stuff is worth it's weight in gold for enhancing/restoring the appearance of vinyl, rubber, plastic and fiberglass as well as perhaps the best UV protection out there (an it's the UV rays that eat vinyl and degrade rubber and gray plastics.

All you need is Purple Power from Napa or Walmart.....That stuff is the bomb. I have never used anything that works as good. Use it full strength.

Rainwater works for me.. and an old towel..

I clean my boat with a towel while fishing is slow and it is raining. But that really never happens much..

Yes I cleaned it today as the guts/scales from all the cut bait and catfish slime was...well let me help paint the smell for you..

I counted well over a hundred flies on it. The deck was brown and it is a white boat under all that...So I scrubed it up a bit before todays trip. It reminds me of the door of a tuna boat that leads to the head..

All fresh slime and scales today so it has that sweet shrimpy smell now.
