My question is, what about the multi-species fishing at dale? I know its got some trout. Is the musky population a trolling affair, or can you cast for them with a legit chance of success?
Billy, there is actually some quite decent fly fishing below the Obey River Dam. They're all stockers, but hey...

Multi-species at Dale would be your walleye, rainbows, browns (rare), and musky (insanely rare). I have it on good word that there have been no lake trout in Dale for over a decade. I think you would have to be out of your mind to try to cast for Musky at Dale unless you are capable of performing sonar miracles and spotting one on a fishfinder (if I saw a really big fish, my first guess would be a catfish anyway).
