find a map of the lake, with depth contour lines. Find the most productive water first. Points, ledges, steep drop offs, stump fields, good weed edges, creek channels etc... You should be able to eliminate at least 50% of the water before you ever get there.

Ironman, you have to put your time in. Google it. Buy a map. Get out there. There are no magic GPS numbers in bass fishing. Find a bank, drift, and cast to the sides. If you find some deepwater structure, fish it.

Problem is that every spot you are pointing to is along the shoreline. Yes the island is decent. It has really the first bit of vegetation other than lilly pads starting at the island and going north to Dunn's creek. Dunn's creek is a very good otption for bass. A lot of tourneys are won out of that creek. Rat creek is another little creek off of Dunn's. The water levels here are way down. I do have a topographical map of Crescent. It states the water is average around 5'-6' along the shopreline, however the truth right now is the water is about 6"-1.5' usually on those spots. Get into the drop off or the channel. If you are gonna fish the creeks, then go all the way to the back of them and work that spot over, and the mouths, work those with deep diving crankbaits or c-rig. Topwater in low light will work also, but not once the sun comes up. As I recall you are fishing from land, so your best bet is to find a creek, and work it. I will also say one more time. The gators are Huge there, and I mean Huge. With the drought, and the conditions, be very careful. You really do need a boat to fish this big lake. It's probably 15 miles long.

This is tidal, and actually there are about 3 or 4 creeks, on that south side of the lake. once through the little bottle neck it opens up into what is called DEAD Lake LOL. Then there's also Haw Creek. The tide isn't a huge rising/lowering issue, but it does have a current. This is just one of the gazillion lakes that are fed off of the Saint Johns River System.

By the way I did fish that area you are speaking of 2 years ago in December with my Dad. That's where the Giant Gator bigger than my boat was from Last weekend we saw at least 3 gators over 10' within a mile of each other on this lake. I aint getting in the water there for nothing, not even with a gun pointing at me, ya better shoot cuz Lizards aint getting wet there. This is also the same Lake we almost sank my boat going back and forth to the island. Got to the island, the wind picked up, and it was almost all over.

when i made the arrors i didnt necessarily pinpoint the shoreline on purpose.. i figured since the water would be likely warm, that it wouldnt hurt to target deeper points off of those points etc, or the inside turns on certain bays... certainly without a contour map its impossible to tell depth, but if those points are shallow as well, then i could be off
for me up here in Iowa, our water temps are 80 already, and I am finding them on every point I can find. drag a big 10inch worm across the bottom, and find fish
