Bass Fishing Advice

Hey everybody, i have a tournament coming up July 8th its on Winnisquam lake in N.H and its my first time fishing on that lake and all i know is there is a lot of weedbeds and rocks, i am thinking of carolina rigginng a lizzard and also using a Zara spook. The water temperature is around 65- 73.
Any ideas of what you guys think i should throw would be greatly appreciated.

Take along some soft stickbaits like a Tiki Stick or a Yum Dinger to use in and around the weeds and a shallow running crankbait like a Bandit 100 series isn't a bad idea either.

totally agree with reb! you should take tiki stick or yum dinger, wacky rigged them.

how deep are the weeds?if you have some room between them and the surface...cast out a spinnerbait.then once it hits the water,jerk the rod get the blades moving and to provoke a reaction strike.then just burn it on top or something like that.

Try fishing some of those baits I'm sending right in the weeds weightless. They should be headed up tommorow.

I like both of those ideas I have fished NH some in the distant past lol. Try to find some rocks piles(found some by accident ) The best baitI used there however was a Blue 6" worm. I've found that if you catch one, usually they are a lot more right there. Is it me or do the bass seem to congregate more the farther north you go. I would also have a Baby Paca Craw tied on with about 1/16 or 1/8 oz bullet weight pegged. Literally just drag it over the rocks, real slowly. You will get hung up some, but rocks mean crawfish IMO.

The buzzbaits you gave to me last year still work great, I just used them this afternoon and caught 4 LM on them. It was rainy and pretty quiet, no boats, no other anglers. I believed the buzzbaits really can call LM from deep. Thanks again for these great lures.

I don't have any Smallies where I fish so I can't say from experience. However I do know Crawfish are one of the mainstays for food for Smallies, I can't imagine they wouldn't work. This technique also worked pretty good for me up in Lake Erie, but only fished shallow water for LM, not smallies. Glad your liking the B2 Buzzbaits. I still throw those more than any other topwater.
