Default New lake opened

A new state lake has opened about 8 miles from my house. It has HEAVY fishing pressure. Any tips or ideas about how to fish a pressured lake. I think every size, color, and variations of spinnerbaits have been used, so I don't use them much. Opening day was great but the bite has died considerably. Thanks

Crow,

First of all, welcome to the site!!

I would downsize! Small baits, plastics, spinning tackle. Use rigs or setups that not everyone and their brother would use. For example, use a shakeyhead rig, swim a jig, rig a worm wacky style, float a worm. Try different presentations from extremely slow to fast. Be creative and have fun.

Oh, by the way, if everyone is beating the heck out of the bank, use electronics to find that off shore honeyhole. Good Luck!!!

Welcome to the forums Crow. Try fishing at night. Heavy pressure will cause bas to feed at night sometimes. I used to fish Wallenpaupack in Pa and never enjoyed the succes during the day that I did at night.
