Question The Scent

What scent do you recomend to use on senkos or any other lures, if scent is required?

There are a bunch out there. I use Kick'n Bass garlic, crawfish, and shad the most with Carolina Lunker Sauce a close second. To a lesser extent I use Yum and Megastrike.

I don't really use any scents. I'd like to try Mustad Activate. any reviews on that one?!

Scent Shment. I dont use it, stinks the garage up, its nasty and greasy applying, and you are outta luck if it springs a leak in your tackle bag. Sands on the bottom of lakes and creeks are actually really good at washing away foreign scents. I always bury my worm [quiet Flyrod, JB, Zooker] in the sand of lakes or whatever I'm fishing before I cast it out, covers scent nicely.

I see you from my neck of the woods. Any reason why you don't add scent to your senkos? I have and with very good results.

OT, do you fish the Columbia? Thanks!

i like ultrabite and jacks juice, sometimes i think it really helps and just as i start to swear by using it, the next trip i think it is actually fish repellent. the bottom line is that when you catch a fish using it you will never know if that fish would have bitten your bait had you not been using it. i think more than anything if it gives you confidence then go out and buy every bottle of whatever kind you like, confidence will catch you more fish than anything else. if it doesn't give you more confidence, then save your money to buy more baits with.
