Your dream hand gun.
If you could have any gun manufacturer produce a hand gun of your choosing, what would it be? For me, it would be a Glock 26, 9mm built with a single stack 8 shot capacity and narrower frame width of just under an inch with night sights. A trigger pull of 4.5-5 pounds.

Mine would probably be a custom 1911 from either Ed Brown, Les Baer or Wilson Combat. I also really want a Gemini Customs Ruger SP101 for concealed carry. That is affordable though, the 1911 is more of a dream gun.

My dream handgun isn't practical; it's actually frigging ridiculous.
I would love to have a Ruger Alaskan 2.5" barrel in .454 Casuli. It's not the expense...not actually that expensive, but it's a bit impractical.

Hmmmm. Stock Beretta 92F. I can kill anything that needs killin' within 50 feet. I would love to have a 1911 .45 again because you only have to shoot it once. But I've always wanted a Model 29 S&W .44 mag with 6 1/2 inch barrel.

I'd prefer a vehicle mounted tomahawk missile, I hate those dang tractor trailers flying down the highway at 80 MPH when I'm rolling along at 60 MPH on I-95 with my kayaks in tow. If I can't have a missile I guess I'd settle for a pair of .50 guns mounted on the fenders. Now for NFE's girl friend (or any woman for that matter) the perfect weapon would have to be the brassiere gun (In Like Flint), are they .44 magnums lady?

Similar to NFE when S&W introduced the 500 mag (.50 cal) I had the tingles - tell me you don't know the feeling. But after looking at one at Cabela's, the price of the gun and ammo, not to mention the heft of the gun itself, made me realize how impractical it would be. You cannot carry it without using a hip holster. Now, if I was a hunting guide in bear country and didn't want to tote a rifle all day, then maybe. To use it in self defense would render you deaf and a shoot out with Zombies - numb hands and forearms. I don't think target shooting that handgun would be classified as fun, either.
The video is LONG, but fast forward to about 14:30 my favorite part. Don't miss the watermelon at 18:45 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-FG9ZKerGM Last edited by bassboogieman; 09-02-13 at 09:50 AM. |
