The Tru-Tunsten 4" swimbait.
I was enjoying handing over my wallet to BPS yesterday and took some time to check out the new Tru Tunsten Tru Life 4 inch swimbaits. While I was very impressed with what I saw in this bait, I felt the size of the trebles might be questionable. They looked a little undersized to me. So I'm currious if anyone in here has yet used this new lure and whether if so, did the hook size seem to be an issue for you?

The BBZ-1 4" shad has a huge hook, only one though. Any ways, Swimbait kid has one, I'm sure he could help you out. Also him and Aiken fish together, s he may be able to too!
Good luck!

I left the stock treble hook in place on mine without any issues. Most swimbaits are so deep back in the mouth that the hook size is not too big of a deal. I don't like to mess with swimbait hooks for fear of changing the action.

Posted these pictures over on BassBoss's thread on which swimbait to get thread but might as well show them off over here too I had no problem with the trebel hooks in landing this 4+ pounder the other day, even got him with both trebels, one on the top and one on bottom. Long story short, the trebels on there do the job.

I have one of the fast sinks.. I havent caught anything on it but I couldnt believe how true this bait runs.. With both weights i can cast it a mile and burn it back as fast as I can and it wont turn on its side.. I cant wait till the water warms up a little more so i can catch some fish on it

Maybe he was trying to say "There's no pic in either of the threads..."
Except I see the pics just fine.

Sorry, Ya that's what I meant Mississippi!
So you can see it ah! Hey panth, what sever did you use to get the pic on? Photobucket, flicker, what? My dad's fire wall may block the sever and that's why I can't see it!

I have a couple complaints about the tru tungsten 4 inch.
1. My son lost 1/2 of the body to one when the rod came out mid cast, thankfully it floated to the top. I cut a new rod out of a clothes hanger no problem, but both tungsten balls were lost, and there is no where to just get the rod or small tungsten balls. 2. I made a bad cast and had one bounce off of a tree, when It came back it had a broken tail section. I know we all have those days when we smash a crankbait or whatever, but it seemed really brittle to me. 3. still havn't caught a fish on one, but waiting paitently for the right time. |

I use imageshack which I think a few servers block access too because too many people host pr0n on there(not myself of course unless you are talking about gun and fish pr0n) I used to use Photobucket but they got their panties in a bunch when I posted pictures of my firearms collection so I ditched them.

http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/descp...NG-TTMISS.html They were on sale for $15.99 but they are back up to $19.99. If you order from tacklewarehouse and it is over $50 it is free shipping so stock up on some extra things and save some money in the long run. They have some Shimano baitcaster reels in their liquidation section I'm eying for my next paycheck.
