Default Zookers "hound dawg"

Ok,
So I go to wallyworld and get some 3/4 and 1 ounce bell sinkers ,
and some clasp, and replicate zookers crankbait retreiver system,
My question is, do you hold you line tight with the hangup and then once the bell sinker enters the water do ya give it slack to free up the crankbait? I am betting there is some timing technique involved..
Other than that it was easy to attach a clasp to the bell sinker and have a handfull ready, I put several together tonight during some boring chick flick Sherrill(wife) had me watching

as long as the snap will go thru that eye i think it will be ok. the reason i use the wire eye is it rotates. i hold it on semi slack line and bounce the rod tip up and down if it slams to a stop give it some slack -your up against the bait- the lead should fall -some times it don't-and continue bouncing up and down till either the weight won't move where as you add a second weight. or the lure comes free.

Oh ok, thanks
its the bouncing of it I wasn't sure of, just like the hound dog we use(but i dont own one now) , with the string on that version you can move it up and down a dozen times to free the bait, I am hoping your version works and I won't get it hung up too..
a bouncing I will go.......huh thanks
