Default Phenix K2 & Castaway 843 Build

I will go in to a little more detail later, but I thought I would show the reason I haven't been around too much lately. I hope this is the end of the rods for a little while and I can start concentrating on fishing and building my personal rods for a little while.

Phenix K2 micro spiral (Fuji BLCAG6 & 5, BLAG 4s) The owner is an avid Mustang road track racer and asked me to throw a little flair on it. I hated to add the weight to the rod, but I do what people ask. Needless to say though, the rod came in at 3.6 oz. I did a little grooving on the grips with my little lathe and I will be shipping it out tomorrow before I get on the plane.

Castaway 7' MH-F 843 Spinning (AmTak NBRLA 25,16,8 / Fuji BLAG 4s) This one was built for a son in law for a guy I work with. Some of you might still be on the fence about micros, but for smoothness, they will not be beat. You know how you feel and hear the line slap when you throw a bait...gone. Smooth as silk. Final weight, 4.2 oz.

Those look great man wonderful job. As you said about the mirco's they take all the line slap out and are phenomenal.

Nice work Bubba! I especially like the green spinning rod. Those fades and that contrast of bright green on the dark blank look great. Your grips look sharp too! Nice work!

Joe, the guy I built the K2 for ordered a Core 50MG7 last night to put on his rod. They should pair up like a happily married couple.
