Weekend Report
Two days of high skies and the moon all morning has wore me out.. The catfish bite never did get really good this Sat. and Sun. but it was not bad either..
Saturday the early bite was good for about two hours with a few 20lg cats and this big one. It really whipped this young mans arse during the fight and during the photo session.. After the tide turned it just fizzled out with many dinks and a gar. Sunday same plan but things did not turn out the same. A striper about 24 inches was caught at spot 1 but the big cats just refused my baits.. Four moves later and acres of grass clearing we got another gar and this one did not cut the line. ARG YE GOT A GAR!!!! At the last spot and bait running low this kitty got hooked up. Have you ever had a really bad luck guy on board? The youngin must have lost 8 big fish today. Three broke 40 lb leaders... Every rod he touched stopped short of hook-up..He needs that upside down horseshoe removed for sure.. Capt Mike

Those are some nice cats. The biggest one's I've caught were out of my pond (7-8lbs).
