Default Using a shoestring????????

This man says he caught bass on a shoestring.
I went out today to prove it's not the bait and kept up catching bass with a sinko. I caught 20-25 bass today on a white shoe lace, NO BS. . Caught a ton on other baits as well

Now that is interesting. I also heard that some people would tack on the colorful plastic of a wonder bread sandwich bag to catch fish and that it worked. The person told me that people did this close to where she lived around Cape Cod.

The thing that stops me from trying this is I haven't seen a loaf of wonder bread in my area. Used to love eating it as a kid.

I know that guy! And I know where he was fishing, the shoelace must work but I will say that it is pretty easy to catch fish in that secret little place. He does make a lot of his own baits and is good at it too.

Bender, the guy is from Michigan. I wondered if you might know him.

Hey, that's where I'm going fishing tomorrow.

Chris, I've got all my rods rigged up and ready to go already: shaky head shoe string, wacky rigged shoe string, t-rigged shoe string, I may even try dropshotting a shoe string.

Why not? No telling what a fish will bite on. I had an uncle that used to bait trotlines with yellow soap. It worked.

It probably would have a nice action weightless if you could get any distance out of it.

Change of plans guys. My dad just called, he want to go try it up there right now. I'll definitely take pics of the fish if we catch any.

BB

Edit: another change of plans. looks like we may need a new boat battery. gonna let this one charge till tonight and see...

Yeah, He's a nice guy. He normally runs a Bullet boat, I doubt he took it back in there though. It's a warm water discharge from a power plant.

Nice!

I fished today for 4-hours or more and didn't catch jack squat! Maybe I would have caught something if I used my shoestring???

I've caught bass on some crazy things too, anything from flowers, to gummy worms and liquorish!

I use hot dogs cut up for bream and catfish at certain ponds.

Nothing sexier than spiderman!! Haven't you seen his girlfriends???

I don't see why it wouldn't work. You can catch gar on a piece of rope. Shoestring isn't much different.
