Hey Zooker, I noticed your Stratos trailer. I purchaced a 285 pro xl about a month ago, 2006 and was wondering your likes and dislikes. So far my experiences have all been good other than the wife needing to slow down constantly. Any tips or info would be greatly appreciated. Pollen's terrible here.

thanks,

Nolen

only thing that really gets my goat stirred with stratos is. the way the fuel gauge reads..the tank is L shaped fiting under the seats, good text book idea. crappy put in practice idea.

you will see it reading 3/4 of a tank. you do a short hop of under a mile and it will be reading 1/4 tank.. nothing is wrong with the gauge. they all lie till it gets to 1/2 tank.then you pop the "bubble" and it is reading the gas remaining in the bottom of the tank. oh and if your gauge is pointing at E it means just "that" your on fumes..

that hull will move if your running a 150 your going about 60 gps. the 175 they'll hit 65 easy enough.

reguardless of what moter or who makes it. ya back it off to about 4000k rpm and it will sip gas..stand on it all day and it WILL chug and entire tank of gas plus a whole tank of oil..

Hoss, we had so much winter rain the oak pollen was 40,000 per cubic meter on Sunday, and my normally maroon truck is yellow!

My normally white truck was fluorescent yellow this morning, and I'm in Southern Indiana, so your turn is coming soon!

Thats why we don't bother washing our hauler until the tree in our front yard (drake elm) is done filling in, thats about the same time the pollen from the pine trees stop.
