I wish that were the case however when you go for that long cast and your Nephew lifts his rod up and you catch it. Set right or not you are SCREWED.....

That is why I carry multiple rods.

Ory is definately on the right track. I tend to be a little more colorful in my "nicknames", though. I tend to throw in a lot of "descriptive" words and phrases about the nest.

We had a lady we worked with named Mozell ( she retired-thank goodness ) that had hair like Flo on Mels Diner so when ever we have a "BCKLASH" we got Mozelled, because our "BCKLASHS" looked like her hair.

Before the days that I knew how to properly use my baitcaster, I would get those dreaded backlashes a lot. When it did happen I would try to not curse so most of the time I would yell at the top of my lungs, CRAAAAAAAAP. My fishing buddies would just start to laugh.
