Question Morning VS. Afternoon

So which one do you prefer and why? Use any different baits for different times of the day? Or are you forced to only fish one time of the day?

Discuss!

If I had my choice, I would fish the morning all the time!

Afternoon.
if I'm not fishing a tourny I'd rather fish at night cause all the other tournys are off the water.
I also seem to catch more fish.

I enjoy fishing afternoons more. I seem to have my best luck the last 2 hours of daylight. I love it when the water comes alive right before it gets dark in the summer and the topwater bite turns on.

I enjoy fishing both, but if I had to choose one, i'd go with the evening bite. I think i've always caught more and bigger fish during those final hours of daylight.

I tend to throw the same types of lures either way....usually topwater or a wake bait of somesort, but if those aren't working i'll certainly try a jig'n'trailer or large plastic worm or lizard.

I prefer to fish early mornings, and really enjoy the surface bite from 4Am or so untill daylight. I have great luck with the Jitterbug durring those early hours. I'm going to make a point of getting out around 11PM and fish till dawn one time this year. Should be interrresting. After sunup, it depends on the weather conditions and time of year as to what lures I'm going to be using.

Ain't nothing better than hearing a topwater popper or a buzzbait coming across the water on a cool foggy morning, other than the exposion that it creates.

Morning! It's always quieter, more relaxing, and less skeeters! I love they way the fog coming off the water looks! And that splash of a bass hitting a top water, breaking the silence of morning. I'm always more relaxed in the morning as well, I don't have to think when I'm fishing, nothing to think about but what's ahead. No past to think about!

And breakfast burps taste better than dinner burps!

I like both. In fact I have been fishing 5:30-9am, and 6-9pm everyday for a couple of weeks now. If I had to choose one though it'd be morning. I catch more fish, bigger fish, and the temps here are usually more tolerable. Plus I fish mostly in the big retention lakes in me neighborhood, which means kids. In the morning the kids are in school.

It all depends. If it is summer and going to be 110 degrees in the shade I prefer morning. On the flip side if the morning is 27 degrees and it is going to warm into the 50s in the afternoon I'll take the afternoon.

I prefer to fish from 7pm to about 3 or 4am def my favorite time all though there is no wrong time to be on the water in my eyes excluding sever weather .
