Workin on Christmas

Merry Christmas to all you fine folks. I am wondering how many of you besides me are working today. Although I would rather be at home, I am truely thankfull for the job.

had to work yesterday, but off today and friday. sorry you are working pal. merry christmas though. maybe there won't be anything for you to do as far as "work".

The bassin bandit had to work today, kinda missed him around here today, but should be home in a little while. I go back to work on Jan. 12th.

We're off till the Jan. 5th date too, going to do some painting during my time off.

I've been out of work since the first of August, thankfully my wife still has her job and the bills are getting paid.

I refuse to shop at stores that force employees to work on major holidays. I will not visit those stores during those days. When I was in retail, I always hated the customers, who were in there shopping, that would say, "It is a shame you have to work today." These people didn't realize that they were the reason the store was open and I had to work that day. If noone visited the store that day, then they would not be open next year and employees would get to be with friends and family.

If I owned a business, I would leave it up to my work associates. If I needed let's say 4 people to run whatever store I owned, then I would ask for volunteers. If I got 4, then the store would be open with a sign stating why. If I only got 3 or less volunteers, then the store would be closed. Being forced to work Christmas and any other major holiday stinks.
