Default bottom type for spawning beds

Not really sure if this would really qualify as a "New to fishing" question but o well. What type of bottom do you usually find spawning beds on? Sandy, Muddy, Gravel, Clay. I'm sure not all bass are the same, but sense the water i fish is the color of chocolate milk i basically am just trying to find all the right conditions and bottom type would be rather important.

Firmer bottoms are great on women and for spawning bass, so clay and sand are excellent. Smallies like rocks more than LMs, but you'll see the green ones on them when there is little else. With your water being muddy they'll be shallower because they need the right amount of sunlight penetration.

LMBs prefer sand over anything else, but will nest on what´s available, rocks come second, clay comes third, silt is the less desirable of them all.

bass spawn on anything hard (sound familiar?) rocks hold heat and the bass wants her eggs to be warm and comfy

to go along with what hackattack said look also for spawning beds that have wood or logs close to them for they also hold heat.
