plastics help?

i live in texas and i fish small ponds. what are some of the best all around plastics that i can use? what for clear, stained, or muddy? the ponds i fish are not that deep and have moderate vegitation. the best soft plastics i have used so far have been craw imitations with a pegged texas rig. top water and mid column of water i have donw, just need help with the bottom. any help is very appreciated.

Try a carolina rig with a plastic crawfish.

hey man,
try a texas rigged powerbait 6'' blue fleck worm. Works great for me fishin small ponds. Try it with a jig hook (so its weighted). Just bounce it along. and reel slowly.

I fish some pretty small lakes (I like to call them myself) they're a little bigger than ponds and I had some luck off the bottom at about I'm guessing 15-20 ft or so the other day. I used a gulp nightcrawler, think it was a 4-5" watermelon, texas rigged with two small sinkers set about 18" above. I threw it out kind of parellel to the drop off but angled somewhat to the deep side. waited till my line tightened slightly and worked it real slow back in up the drop off so I could feel when it hit bottom then reeled up a couple cranks. Got some bigger than average bass for the lake I was on that day. The lakes I fish are pretty clear too with limited vegetation until the later part of summer. I also tried out the drop shot technique using a watermelon worm rigged texas style and that worked too. Can't say I'm doing everything right, but at least I'm catchin fish.

Yamamoto's: Senko's, Hulagrubs, and their new Kreature bait is pretty effective (it looks like a cross between a grub and a crawfish....wild....fish love it). Confuscious say.... "If they arent biting the Yamamoto.....they arent biting."
