ANother thing to remember when practicing is to try and find a decline. Backing up on an even road and down a hill are two different things.

The thing that confused, and still can, me the most is people saying "turn your steering wheel this way" or giving hand signals as to which way to turn the wheel. If backing in a tight spot, have someone point which direction you need to go. That has helped me. Backing down a boat ramp can be interesting to say the least. To me, SUV's can be very tough to see out of. Pick up trucks are easier for me to back with. Good luck and be patient. Remember if someone laughs at you, someone else laughed at them when they were learning.

Just have confidence and you should be fine! I know it can be scary with outher boats around... but hey, if you don't try, you'll never learn!
