There is no best in bass fishing. But probablythe best lure for begginers is a plastic worm. I would recomend weightless rigged. They are easy to use and are a good starter for people that are interested in bass fishing. And the bottom line.... They catch fish. And lots of them............

Your doing better than 454 then lol. Hows that baitcasting comin 454. I would also recond getting some topwater lures like poppers or buzzbaits. Then you can work your way up to a spook which is a little tricky to use. Considering the time of the year crankbaits would also be a good bet. Get something in a firetiger color pattern. It has green, yellow, and orange colors on it. Also a pattern resembling baitfish......... Im sure Reb. will help you out with that..........

Yea i figured out what one main problem was that was makin me backlash more was the spiderwire i was usin it just wouldnt work right on the baitcaster so i took it off and bought a spool of trilene xl and put on there and been casting like a charm ever since.

See why I aint to fond of SpiderWire............ Its ok on Spincast and Spinning reels but it sucks on baitcasting

Yes i see that now i still wanna try braid for my baitcaster though since it will lay on the spool a lil better and it will prob be even easier to cast with braid.

Yeah it will cast really smooth. It will be loud but it will be a good casting line that you wont have to change much..............

There are two tried and true baits/lures that the experts on TV say do the trick. The Number 1 pick is the plastic worm, rigged anyway you want...carolina, texas, wacky. Number 2 is the spinnerbait, use small for a pond or small lake. The yellow color skirt is the best color for darker stained water.

Obviously, there is no best lure about bass fishing! I think most guys even couldn't point out the best lure among their own collection. However, if you could only choose one lure, even there are thousands there, you should take a 3/8 oz spinnerbait with some yollow color somewhere! With this spinnerbait, you can deal with different situation.
