Default Motor running only at about half throttle...

Hey guys, I took the tracker out today and the motor wouldn't get much past half throttle. It was fine prior to getting to about half throttle, but there was just a point in there where if you gave it any more it would start running incredibly rough and unacceptable. So I drove basically just above planing speed today, and even then it felt like there would be split seconds where the fuel almost cut off. So what does this mean? I have a few ideas of what it could be, but yall know a lot more. I'm thinking the fuel pump could be bad or there could be a clog somewhere in the line, but where in that case would the trouble spots be? BTW, prior today I had a similar problem, but it only happened when I was just shy of full throttle, thus acceptable...so something has apparently gotten worse.

BTW, I ran seafoam through the carb about 3 weeks ago and this has only been the 2nd time she has been out since then.

How many carbs do you have and how long has it been since you changed your fuel line?

did you change your spark plugs after the sea foam use?? if not THIS is your problem..

newer moters check your oil injection ports.. they may be clogged..
older moters power head/coil problems..

Just bought it so I've never done anything to the motor, fuel lines, ect.

Zook, I checked the plugs right after I put seafoam in it and they looked ok, but have since run the motor a lot more. Can fouled plugs cause the problem I'm describing?

AHHH my ole friend zooker be wise yes he is. Very good point zook. REPLACE the plugs first. A gotta do after running seafoam for the first time. If the problem persists it is prolly the high speed jets clogged. A good ole cleaning out will cure it. While the carbs are being cleaned out examine the entire fuel line and fittings and the tank vent. Make sure all is up to par. What you are experiencing is a lean fuel at speeds. NOT GOOD especially with big engines. I feel confident that fesh plugs and a good carb cleaning and inspection of the fuel system will have ya smiling on plane again.

Check the primer ball. That is another common problem.
