Default Tube Hooks

I'm looking for a hook available at a local sports store that is wide enough to rig parallel with a fat tube, but short enough to where I can still get the point into the body, instead of sliding the tube over the eye of the hook and having nothing but tentacles to stick the point of the hook through.

What do you use?

Thanks.

PS- My flippin tubes that are over 4" have the ability to rig just fine, but not the shorter tubes.

I use a hook similar to captmike, but mine are from gamakatsu. I do like them for throwing the ube in heavy cover, except then there is no weight.

Gammy makes the G-lock I believe. Owner has a short 2/0 EWG hook but how fat is your tube? One solution to the problem may be leaving the end of the hook inside the tube. You'll be surprised when you still catch them without the hook being outside the tube.

A 1/0 Gamakatsu Skip Gap works great for tubes. As a matter of fact, they are made for tubes. The one or two ought is about perfect for 2.5-3" tubes.
