Taking the brothers fishing

So here is the deal... i am bringing my brothers on a fishing trip in July and want to know what is going to be the easiest way for them to catch bass. They are not much for precision casting or anything like that. I know that there are weeds (hydrilla or milfoil) and pads there, the brothers are almost 13 and 14. So i guess that they are not that young, they just need more practice. But what would you suggest for a ttechnique or presentation?

Spinning rig, probably light to medium, and a t-rigged worm.For combos, I'd suggest the shakespeare cirrus. Nice little rig, easy to use and only 20 bucks at almost any walmart. 8 pound line, 3/0 hooks, 1/8 ounce bullet weights and 6.5" zoom worms, any color you want. Just jig 'em and let em fall slow. I began bass fishing for real when I was 13, and I caught on pretty quick. I still got barrels of things to learn, but I picked up the basics in about 4 months, and most bass I caught were on the rig I had above. Good Luck!

Just get them some stout rods and line, and get a couple dozen shiners. It's fool proof almost. You do need to fish somewhere around where the bass are.

They could throw topwater frogs like Ribbits or Buzzfrogs over the weeds if the fish want to hit some topwaters. There's nothing as exciting as topwater strikes for the novice fisherman as well as the professional.

I would set them up with some of the New Yum Money Minnow Swimbaits.

Yeah, the money minnows would be easy to use, but they won't catch as many fish ona swimbait as they would on something else.

I'd set them up with a dropshot and a 4" power worm or a 6" finesse worm. The DS doesn't need to be casted precisely, and is easy to learn.
