Question Where do I get a roll of soft lead?

Where would I buy a roll of soft lead line so I can add weight to my hook like such:

That's exactly what I was thinking doc. Although you'd have to find some thin wire cause the stuff I've used is pretty thick.

What about the same material that soft split shot is made out of?

Also, and this takes some work, but take some split shots (the bullet shaped ones) and drill the inside hole big enough to fit around your hook shaft. I've done this, and getting started takes some practice, but once you get the hang of, it isn't too bad.

Or you can take the rubber center out of a rubber core sinker and use that. It is a lot easier too.

Description says putty hardens in cold water. Here in arkansas that would be trout rivers.

Right now I just take a split shot and crimp it onto the hook, but it slides around too much and then eventually falls off.

Yeah. I just spoke with a coworker and he said that souldering wire should work just fine and it is inexpensive and can be found at Wally World. That is what he uses because it is easily bent around a hook and can easily be cut off. He said the all-in-one ultility tool that he uses for fishing has a set scissors in it and they cut the wire just fine. I asked the question because I noticed the other day that when I added weight to the hook of my Trigged fluke that it "fluttered" as it dropped in between jerks. That is when I got my hits. Just trying something new.

You can't go wrong with flukes. I just love em. They work wonders in private lakes that do not allow fishing with live minnows. Most people will stick to worms or spinners. Show them a fluke and they tear it up.

The fluke is so versitile too. You can drop shot it, jerk it, jig it, wacky style it, weightless, etc.

And as stated in another thread (http://www.bassfishin.com/bassfishin...ad.php?t=15767), you can rig it many different ways. Raul posted some great pictures too.

I found some clamp on type of hook weights at Gander Mountain, but I can't find them online. They are really easy to use and you can cut them down for less weight.
They look like the ones on the Daiichi Butt-Draggers but they are red:
